Search is splitting in two. People still type into Google, and increasingly they ask an AI and act on the answer without clicking anything. We build for both: classic SEO so you rank, and answer engine optimisation (AEO) so you are the business the AI names.
SEO is everything that makes Google trust and understand your site: a fast, clean build, pages structured around what people actually search for, the right titles and headings, schema markup that tells search engines what each page is, and a verified Google Business Profile for local searches. Most of it is invisible to visitors and decisive for rankings.
AEO, answer engine optimisation, is newer. When someone asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Google's AI Overview "who does X near me", the model assembles an answer from sources it can read and trust, and names a handful of businesses. A growing share of searches now end inside that answer, with no click at all. Being cited there means writing content in formats AI can extract (clear definitions, question-and-answer sections, FAQ schema, standalone passages), making your business a recognisable entity, and earning mentions on the third-party pages those models draw from.
The two overlap more than they differ. A site built properly for SEO is most of the way to AEO; the rest is content shape and consistency, which we handle as part of the same work.
-
01
Technical SEO, built in
Core Web Vitals in the green, clean semantic markup, sitemap, robots, canonical URLs, structured data. Done during the build, not bolted on.
-
02
Keyword and intent mapping
What your customers search for, grouped by what they mean: just looking, comparing, ready to book. Each page targets one of those.
-
03
On-page structure
Titles, headings, internal links and page copy written so both a person and a crawler understand what the page is for.
-
04
Local search
Google Business Profile set up and verified, consistent name, address and phone across the web, location pages where they earn their place.
-
05
Answer engine optimisation (AEO)
Content shaped for AI extraction: definitions, Q&A sections, FAQ schema, entity and organisation markup, and a check of how AI tools currently describe your business.

Monitoring
Google Search Console connected on launch day, rankings and AI mentions reviewed monthly, with plain-English notes on what to do next.
01How long until I see results?
Technical fixes show within weeks. Rankings for competitive terms build over months, which is why ongoing content matters. Local and AI visibility often moves faster because fewer businesses are doing it properly.
02Do I still need ads?
Not to start. Ads buy traffic while you have it on; search earns it and keeps it. Many clients run both for a while, then taper the ads as organic takes over.
03What is the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO?
SEO targets ranked links on a results page. AEO (answer engine optimisation) and GEO (generative engine optimisation) both target being cited inside AI-generated answers; the names are used interchangeably. We do all three as one piece of work.
