You don't need a domain, hosting, or a tech person. Here's what actually happens when you hire a studio
A surprising number of people put off getting a proper website because they think they need to understand it first. You do not. This is everything that happens behind the scenes, so you can stop worrying about it.
We hear the same worry on almost every first call, usually phrased as an apology: "I should warn you, I'm not technical." Nobody needs to be. You are not technical about your accountant's software or your car's engine either; you hire people so you do not have to be. Here is the full list of things you might think you need to sort out, and what actually happens to each of them.
"I don't have a domain"
We find one. We check what is available, suggest options that are short and easy to say on the phone, and register the one you pick in your name, not ours. You get the login details in your welcome sheet, and you never have to use them unless you want to.
"I don't have hosting, and I don't know what hosting is"
Hosting is the computer your website lives on. Ours lives on AWS, the infrastructure most of the internet runs on, configured and looked after by us. It is monitored every minute, backed up automatically, and patched when the patches come out. If anything so much as slows down, we are alerted before you would notice. You will never see a server, a control panel, or a renewal notice.
"I have an old site and I'm scared of breaking it"
Your current site stays exactly where it is while we work. We build the new one on a private address only you and we can see. When it is finished and you have approved it, we switch the domain over in one step, usually overnight. There is no gap, no "under construction" page, and every old link redirects to its new home so the Google rankings you have earned carry across.
"I don't have time to write the words"
You talk, we write. The 30-minute discovery call is mostly us listening to how you describe what you do and who it is for. We draft every headline and paragraph from that, in your voice, and you correct anything that does not sound like you. Most people change a few words.
"I don't have photos"
Send what you have, even phone photos of your team and your space. Real beats stock every time, and we can make real look good. Where there is a genuine gap we source or art-direct imagery that fits the design.
"What about email, Google, all of that?"
Business email on your domain, a verified Google Business Profile, analytics that respect your visitors' privacy, the site submitted to Google on launch day. All set up as part of the build, all in your name.
"What if something breaks after you've gone?"
We have not gone. Support is month to month and most clients keep it, because it is cheaper than their coffee budget and it means "can you change the opening hours" is a one-line email rather than a project. If you ever do want to leave, you get everything in working order, with no lock-in and no export fee.
If the reason you have not sorted the website yet is that it felt like a second job, it is not. It is one call. Book it and we will take it from there.
